Separation Design Group has designed, modeled and applied for patent protection for a multifunction energy conversion technology. This technology's energy efficiency and relatively small mass, noise, and cost are expected to help capture shares of markets beyond heat recovery, including distributed power generation, combined heat and power/pumping, and vehicle propulsion.

As a heat pump / energy recovery unit, the device can simultaneously capture, amplify, and deliver or utilize heat energy normally wasted in commercial and industrial processes.

As a thermal power conversion unit it can operate as an efficient and quiet engine for a variety of independent energy and propulsion applications.
